Whilst primarily a trombonist, Sam is also a keen organist and has played weekly services across several Huddersfield churches. He has appeared as an organ soloist for concerts and recitals in venues including Halifax Minster and Huddersfield Town Hall. As an organist, he also enjoys music making in an orchestral setting, and has played the organ parts to Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance march No.1, and Saint Saens 3rd 'Organ' Symphony in Aix en Provence Cathedral, France. Sam has enjoyed playing as principal trombonist with the Halle Youth Orchestra, the Kirklees Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra. |
