ICIN is a UK-based charity founded in 2007 for Iraqi Christians, of all denominations, who have become displaced within Iraq or who have fled to neighbouring Syria and Jordan.
ICIN provides medical care, primary and adult education and help to widows and other disadvantaged Christians. Aid is channelled through the local church. Further information may be found at www.icin.org.uk/
Carl Bahoshy is an amateur classical pianist (Dip. ABRSM in Piano Performing), resident organist of St. Elizabeth’s of Portugal RC Church, Richmond, and a British-born Iraqi Christian. Carl earns his living teaching French, Spanish and piano and as a Michael Jackson Tribute Performer. Carl says he feels a responsibility towards others like him who have been displaced in the Middle East in the past few years. He says: “I feel very fortunate that I have brought up in a peaceful country. I feel it’s my duty to help other people.
